FORT WORTH, Texas – April 26, 2012 – Southwest Bank announced today the opening of a new banking center at 2200 West 7th Street in Fort Worth. Alec Barry has been named president of the location, which opened to customers earlier this month.

Operating as a full-service banking center, the West 7th Street location brings added convenience and amenities to customers in this quickly growing area—including drive-up banking and an ATM. The new 4,000 square foot banking center is located in the lower level of Southwest Bank’s headquarters building at the corner of West 7th Street and Harrold Street.

Barry most recently served as senior vice president of Southwest Bank. He is a graduate of Texas Christian University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance prior to completing a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Texas at Arlington. Barry also has the distinguished designation of Chartered Financial Analyst, an investment credential that recognizes excellence in financial planning and investment strategy, which he received from the CFA Institute in 2003. He was recently recognized as a 2012 “40 Under 40” by the Fort Worth Business Press.

“Our newest banking center in the busy West 7th Street corridor will be convenient to our customers who live and work near downtown Fort Worth and the cultural district,” said Vernon Bryant, chairman and CEO of Southwest Bank. “Alec Barry and his team offer the experience and service that our customers and the community know they will receive at Southwest Bank.“
