Southwest Bank Adds Experienced Team To Launch Equipment Finance Group

FORT WORTH, Texas – March 15, 2017 – Southwest Bank announced today a new service line to assist clients with financial needs in equipment and specialized lending. The Special Industries/Equipment Finance Group is located in Grapevine, Texas, but will serve clients in Texas and throughout the southwest. Four bankers, each with more than 25 years of experience, have been added to meet clients’ needs to provide funding for:

  • New and used equipment,
  • Business acquisitions,
  • Commercial, owner-occupied real estate and
  • Specialized lending areas.

Al Steinhaus, executive vice president and Special Industries/Equipment Finance manager at the Southwest Bank Grapevine banking center, has more than 30 years’ experience in the industry, most recently at Prosperity Bank in Dallas as senior vice president and managing director of transportation and equipment. Prior to this, Steinhaus was a regional sales manager in transportation finance for GE Capital. He has more than 30 years’ experience in commercial lending across multiple platforms and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from the University of Oregon and a Master of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University.

Craig Caldwell, senior vice president and commercial lender, worked previously as vice president for both GE Capital Franchise Finance in Irvine, California, and Societe Generale Equipment Finance in Jersey City, New Jersey. Caldwell has a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from Texas A&M University with more than 25 years’ experience in lending.

Scott Smith, senior vice president and commercial lender, served as senior vice president in commercial finance at Prosperity Bank in Dallas before joining Southwest Bank. With more than 25 years’ experience in commercial lending across multiple platforms, Smith holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Science from the University of Texas at Dallas.

Mark Yeager, senior vice president and commercial lender, has more than 30 years’ experience in commercial lending. Prior to joining Southwest Bank, he worked in equipment lending for Prosperity Bank in Dallas and as finance and insurance manager for Bruckner Truck Sales, also in Dallas. Yeager holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. His community involvement includes Transportation Club of DFW, Texas Aggregates & Concrete Association, McKinney Municipal Utility District 1, Coppell Chamber of Commerce and Sam Houston State University Alumni Association.
